Design Process

From initial site meeting to a beautiful garden design you can expect a seamless service with attention to detail at each stage . 

Sally’s plans are hand drawn individual pieces of work unique to each client. 

Initial site meetings, site and soil analysis. 

• A face to face site meeting to view the garden, assess the site, complete a detailed questionnaire with the client. 
• A soil analysis to inform plant selection, any soil improvement and soil maintenance. 
• Site survey for scaled plans. 

Concept plans, sketched elevations, and  mood boards. 

• Concept plans represent the initial plans, scaled hand drawn and illustrating design ideas, sketched elevations. 
• Accompanied by a mood board showing materials, plants, and colour schemes.

Final masterplans & working plans 

• Masterplans represent the completed plans once concept plans are approved and illustrate the overall design and are hand drawn to scale. 
• The working plans are informative giving materials, quantities, dimensions and costings on which contractors and trades people can both work from and quote on. 

Detailed planting schemes. 

• A pictorial planting plan based on the final design providing visual reference for plant positioning, full botanical and common names, quantities, and sizes. 
• Supported by full list of varieties and quantities accompanying the pictorial plans providing a comprehensive aide to planting for the soft landscaper or client. 

Supply, sourcing of plants and undertaking planting projects

• High quantity and variety specific plants can be supplied and delivered for the project. 
• Professional planting and overseeing the plant scheme is offered as a service  

Getting the project done 

• Sally uses and has contacts with several trusted and professional  hard and soft landscapers, tree surgeons and electricians. Sally can both recommend and assist with instructing contractors to complete the project. 
• Ongoing maintenance advise and  project management are available as part of the service offered. 

Sally aims to provide each client with a seamless, inspirational,  and collaborative experience and a design that reflects their vision from initial concept to completion of  their garden.
