Beyond the Border Garden Design is a small yet truly inspirational garden design business based in North Yorkshire and run by Sally Ramsden. 

Offering bespoke individual garden design plans for gardens and outdoor spaces of all sizes . At the heart of the business is Sally’s passion for gardening and design, shored up by professional qualifications in Garden Design with the British Academy of Garden Design and Royal Horticulture Society Level 2 Horticulture. 

Sally combines her design skills with an innate and intuitive knowledge of plants and horticulture, crucial for plant selection, site assessment, and maintenance advise in the gardens she designs. A strong ethos for the right plant selection is at the core of Sally’s designs . A plants woman, bee keeper and avid grower of fruit and vegetables, Sally offers designs that allow for biodiverse, ecologically sympathetic, and productive  gardens whilst also offering designs for stunning contemporary, formal or cottage gardens. 

Sally offers a personal garden design service to create beautiful, practical, and inspirational gardens. Attention to detail and an emphasis on the selection of materials and planting allows Sally to create gardens to meet each client’s particular needs, whether that is a place for tranquil enjoyment or a functional family garden. The challenge and aim is to achieve a design to meet each client’s vision and within their budget. 

Detailed  planting schemes are part of the design process, so whether you are looking for a complete redesign of your garden or you wish to renew and  improve a particular part of your garden this is all achievable.
